Account ledger

The running debit and credit record of a pilgrim, agent or supplier.

A ledger is not a single balance figure but a dated list of movements: charges, payments, refunds, commission, exchange differences. The statement is the printed form of that list and the place where "but I paid you in March" gets settled. For an operator handling several currencies, a single blended balance figure is meaningless anyway.

How Account ledger works in the system

Each currency keeps its own balance line; dollars and local currency are never merged into one figure. Every movement freezes the rate of its own date, so a later rate change does not rewrite history.
