Quota

The maximum number of pilgrims a departure will accept.

Quota and capacity are not the same thing. Capacity is the physical limit — how many hotel rooms and aircraft seats are actually held. Quota is the number released for sale, usually set slightly below capacity so there is room to move when late changes arrive. On the Hajj side, quota also means an official government allocation.

Rota

How Quota works in the system

Quota and capacity are separate fields, tracked separately. When the quota fills, the departure closes to new bookings while work on existing bookings continues; a closed departure cannot accidentally take another booking.
