Booking file
A group of people travelling together, held as a single booking.
Operators rarely sell to one person. A family of four is one negotiation, one payment plan and one contract. But when rooms are allocated, seats assigned and visas filed, every one of them is an individual again. Systems that collapse the two levels either split families or lose the person-level detail.

How Booking file works in the system
The file holds the group, the passenger record holds the person. Payments and contracts work at file level; documents, rooms and seats work at passenger level. Both draw on the same record, so nothing is typed twice.
