Hijri calendar
The lunar calendar that sets the Umrah and Hajj seasons.
The Hijri year is about eleven days shorter than the Gregorian one, so Ramadan and the month of Hajj move earlier in the Gregorian calendar every year. For an operator this means the season never settles on a fixed month: "Ramadan Umrah" falls on different Gregorian dates each year, and last year's plan cannot simply be copied forward.
