Glossary
PNR
The airline's record locator for a reservation.
Passenger Name Record: a reservation as it exists in the airline's system, and the short code that identifies it. Group bookings can hold many passengers under a single PNR; ticketing, name corrections and cancellations all run through that number.

How PNR works in the system
The PNR is held on the flight leg and printed onto manifests, tickets and the departure list. The number you will be asked for on the phone lives in one place rather than in someone's notebook.
